Recently Toyota officially confirmed India will launch its New 2011 Corolla Altis on June 1, 2011 in India. Earlier this launch plan will be carried out in February last, but the launch was canceled due to reasons the company is doing testing continuously variable transmission (CVT) in the car. Toyota re-launch of New Corolla Altis express that will happen in May but was canceled for no apparent reason.
New 2011 Corolla Altis bring some changes to the front, and back of the car like new headlights, LED taillights carrying, air dam, bumper and chrome list. As for the interior most numerous changes including the use of audio systems now use LCD touch screen plus features Bluetooth connectivity, DVD playback, Aux and USB. In addition there is a button start / stop, instrument cluster and so forth.
The biggest changes also occurred dibagian engine, 1794cc VVTi petrol engine has been replaced by a 1798cc dual VVTi motor. This new machine has a capacity of 1.8 liters of 8bhp or increased power to 138bhp at 6,000 rpm and 172 Nm of torque increase at 4000 RPM. This car also got a new transmission that is 7-speed automatic 'Super CVT' replaces 5-speed automatic.
